Really noticing the statewide drought in California in the dried-up creeks I’ve been cycling by. Increasing frequency and intensity of droughts is one of the primary threats to the western monarch (Mann and Gleick 2015). Thanks, climate change. At Salt Creek, there was a single puddle with a few frogs and dragonflies that were holding on. Here’s to the monarchs holding on too…
