The bicycle path into Spokane was a delightfully peaceful journey down an old railroad grade that is now a paved trail. I stopped at Alejandro's waystation and planted in several places, including near a fresh rock slide that has created a nice little cascade, giving a pleasant babble to the little stream that parallels the path. There are many flowering plants and shrubs here-- hopefully this will be as nice a thoroughfare for the butterflies as it is for the cyclists
