Red Bluff (2)

Had to backtrack to get to this waystation. I was disappointed to find no milkweed here from last year's visit so I planted seeds by an irigation ditch that looked like a more promising location. Soundscape: a few dogs ceaselessly barking at me + a military helicopter’s low-frequency thrum. Feeling world-weary and defeated today. Riding through monocrop agriculture imagining the monarch might get a similar feeling from this place.
