Dry Creek Trail

Took a wrong turn, and just as I was beginning to retrace my steps, I saw the telltale leaves and pinkish flowers of a milkweed plant in bloom! Although I was running behind schedule and running out of daylight, I had to serenade this noble plant that was thriving in the arid and trash strewn margin of an empty high desert road. It's a shame that this route was a bust-- as ended up being the case for many Google Maps bicycle routes-- because it was a peaceful road and probably had more milkweed hidden in its twists and turns.
