Mount Shasta Brewing Company

We had a fantastic weekend in Mount Shasta at two MWS events organized by The Mount Shasta Bioregional Ecology Center! The first was a sound walk and milkweed seedball workshop at Hammond Pond, and the second was a screening of our new monarch film at the Mount Shasta Brewing Company. The brewery kindly set aside part of their outdoor area for a new waystation, where we sowed our seedballs following the film. What a dream combination!

After planting, we harmonized with the electromagnetic sensor recordings I made of Mount Shasta from the previous year (in the spirit of our sympathetic sounding prompt). It conjured a wonderful moment of stillness among us seed sowers. Later in the studio, I froze and time-warped our voices to bring out this feeling of stasis.
